Best Five meta is completely different from FPL! Nottingham Forest is the best hidden gem in Best Five that many managers might ignore. Our experts will explain here!

Mid-Tables: Hidden Gems In Best Five

When playing Best Five, most managers focus on big names like City, United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs. Yes, they might be the best team in the league but they might sometimes have tough fixtures (like United facing Liverpool this GW). Moreover, players around the world have a lot of information and knowledge about them. That makes the available options become too obvious sometimes and everyone has the same players. Haaland might score 30 points but if everyone owns him, that will not help your rank. Those kinds of players help you more on keeping your rank than gaining that.

Not like FPL when you only have 15 slots which require consistent players and long-term strategy, you have 10 matches to score points in your 5 players each match. It means you have to cover every single team. Fixtures analysis is important! Points from Wolves vs Palace are as important as Arsenal vs City. Meanwhile the score from big team match is almost the same, the majority of players don’t know about mid-table clubs and open up the opportunities for us to outscore the masses and become the Best Five winner.

The Best Five winner has average result in big team’s matches but bounced back with the mid-table result

Nottingham Forest: the best mid-table in GW3

At the end of last season, Forest was named as the 4th best defense in the whole league. This season, they keep the great vibe as being the 5th best defense so far in terms of expected goals conceded. That stats is currently the same than Arsenal – the king of defense in EPL. They scored in both games and only conceded once in a really low xG shot from Semenyo. Forest is looking solid at the start of the season.

NFO almost the same xGC as Arsenal while Wolves have the third worst

In GW3, Forest has to play against Wolves, the second worst defense in the league in terms of xGC and the most conceded team so far! Without Neto, Cunha and Hwang seem lost in connection and hardly found their way to the opponent’s net. Wolves is the team to target in Best Five.

Form and fixture are great so far! Here is a few Best Five assets from Forest that would hugely advance your team this GW:

  • MGW: most nailed player, on penalty with really advanced role
  • Wood: nailed but minutes managed, involve in the final phase of every attack
  • Aina: best defensive option with high BPS and take part in a lot of attacking returns
  • Sels: save and set as NFO didn’t sign any new GKP
  • CHO: pretty nailed but minutes managed, involve in a lot of threat from Forest side
